Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $1,870 per week

About the role
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) position in a healthcare facility located in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, with a focus on patient safety, comfort, and recovery. The position requires adaptable skills to float between units as needed and to perform efficiently during the assigned night shift.
Schedule
- Night shift, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit
- Float between units as needed
- Perform efficiently during assigned night shift
- Participate in rapid response and code team activities
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical (MS) nursing
- Active BLS certification
- Valid nursing license
- At least 1 year of formal charge experience
- Experience with charting in Epic electronic charting system
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Responses to specific screening questions regarding prior employment at similar facilities
- 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Neuro specialized units
- Skills in cerebrovascular accident (CVA) care
- Isolation precautions/PPE
- Nasal cannula use
- Non-invasive airway management
- Oxygen administration
- Peripheral line care/management
- Neurosurgery pre/post care
- Spinal cord injury care
- Traumatic brain injury care
