Job Summary

This healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide bedside care on a Medical/Surgical unit. The position involves working night shifts at a 19-bed facility serving geriatric and adult patient populations, with a focus on delivering professional and compassionate care.

Required Qualifications

• Certification and licensure to work as an RN or LPN/LVN in Tennessee
• 1-2+ years of clinical experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Med/Surg units
• Handling common diagnoses and treatments relevant to adult and geriatric patients

Responsibilities

• Providing patient care with a patient ratio of 1:5
• Utilizing equipment such as Welch Allyn vital machines, telemetry monitoring, and careview systems
• Administering medications, monitoring patient status, and coordinating with healthcare team members

Additional Information

• Float rotation may be required to cover medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER units (task assignments for OB and ER)
• Experience with low-level medications and overflow patients in ICU is preferred
• A Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech is stationed at the Med/Surg nurses' station

Pay Package

Based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
