The Medical Surgical Floor Nurse is based at a healthcare facility in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves providing compassionate and collaborative patient care on a medical-surgical unit. The position requires a dedicated professional able to work the night shift and adhere to unit policies and guidelines.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Minimum 36 hours per week
• Huddles at 6:45 PM or 6:45 AM
• Weekend and on-call duties every other weekend
• Schedule managed through the Timpani platform

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a 12-bed medical-surgical unit with a staff of 12 (two RNs and one patient care technician during night shifts)
• Patient ratios approximately 6:1
• Float rotation may be required to other med surg departments with 24-bed and 12-bed units
• Adhere to unit policies and guidelines

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Meditech electronic medical record experience

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
