About the role

A Mother/Baby nurse, also known as a Postpartum RN, cares for both mother and child after birth. Key responsibilities include monitoring both patients, watching for post-birth complications, and counseling new parents on infant care.

Responsibilities

• Care for both mother and child after birth
• Maintain close monitoring of both patients
• Watch for and address post-birth complications
• Counsel new parents on infant care

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Experience in Maternal - Newborn specialty preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, nights

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Current CPR certification

• Knowledge of postpartum care
