Responsibilities
- Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the post partum period.
- Care for both moms and their newborns after delivery.
- Maintain monitoring of mothers and ensure proper recovery.
- Recognize and address postpartum depression in new moms.
- Teach new parents on how to care for, bathe, breastfeed, or bottle-feed the newborn and monitor his or her health.
