Interventional Radiology Nurse Manager position in Hermiston, Oregon. This leadership role oversees all aspects of patient care for interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, supervising healthcare professionals including registered nurses, radiologic technologists, and cardiovascular technologists. The role involves ensuring departmental compliance with regulatory standards, managing staffing and operational activities, and fostering a collaborative environment to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staffing and patient care activities
  • Promote evidence-based practices
  • Evaluate staff performance
  • Manage supplies and ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Act as a patient advocate
  • Administer medications
  • Support department operations
  • Adhere to safety protocols
  • Participate in required educational programs
  • Perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and frequent repositioning or transferring of patients

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current RN license in the State of Oregon
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • At least one year of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) circulating and monitoring, or management/supervisory experience in an interventional setting
  • Demonstrated management or supervisory experience in interventional radiology or cath lab environments
  • Effective communication skills and clinical competency in managing complex procedures
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management or supervisory experience in interventional radiology or cath lab
  • IR/IC CDM maintenance
  • Scrubbing interventional cases
  • Certifications specific to the clinical specialty such as RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale, and IV certification

Schedule

  • Days shift, 8 hours per day
  • Minimum of 40 hours per week
  • 13 weeks duration
