Travel Nurse RN - Long Term Acute Care - $2,271 per week

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5-6 patients in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) unit.
• Adjust and perform in a fast-paced environment with frequent admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, and through an IV.
• Educate patients and families on surgical processes and illness/injury management.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment; record and interpret electronic displays.
• Interpret telemetry readings and notify medical team members of irregularities.
• Perform all duties required of a registered nurse.
• Care for patients with pulmonary hypertension, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib.
• Use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information.
• Start IVs, draw blood, and provide patient care from start to finish.
• Manage patients requiring vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes, and tele-strips.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes, and reading tele-strips.
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.
