Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery

About the role

Travel Nurse RN specializing in Labor and Delivery, responsible for providing acute care in a busy hospital unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care during vaginal and c-section deliveries, including procedures such as D&C, hysterectomy, PP tubal, cerclage placement, and versions.
• Support high-risk OB patients, monitor fetal and maternal status, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, ensure accurate documentation, and adhere to unit protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (FM) or AWHONN certification.
• Minimum of 1-year recent acute care hospital L&D experience.
• Preferred experience with Meditech, PACU, or OR settings.
• Ability to work independently, support team members, and manage patient care efficiently.

Key Duties

• Cover night shifts, work 12-hour shifts, and adapt to a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 2:1.
• Use equipment such as Centricity and GE monitors, and document care via Meditech / CPN EMR.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
