Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $3,985 per week

About the Role

Travel Labor and Delivery Nurse position in Dickson, Tennessee. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a labor, delivery, post-partum, and neonatal setting. The position offers an opportunity to work with a highly experienced team and gain comprehensive obstetric and neonatal care experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care
• Monitoring fetal activity
• Performing OB procedures such as C-sections and circumcisions
• Ensuring safety and compliance with hospital policies
• Rounding on patients daily

Requirements

• Certifications in BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and fetal monitoring training
• Relevant clinical experience in labor and delivery, including assessment and transition of mothers and newborns
• Experience with OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage preferred
• No minimum experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil)
• Advanced fetal monitoring skills

Unit Specifics

• 9-bed labor, delivery, recovery, antepartum (LDRP) unit
• 4-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labors and newborns until stable, 1:3 for NBICU care
• Unit equipped with CPN central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, PCA pumps
• Documentation systems: Meditech and CPN
• Schedule includes rotating weekends and holidays
• Staff members are cross-trained and experienced, with a team-oriented environment

Schedule

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 48 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/06/2026
• Duration: 8 weeks, with no guaranteed overtime hours until after 48 hours worked
