Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $3,395 per week

Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Bakersfield, California.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients during labor and delivery.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient care.
• Maintain and update patient records according to hospital policies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and maternal fetal triage index assessments.
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety protocols and standards.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Knowledge and experience with Cerner EMR system.
• Valid and unrestricted California Registered Nurse License.
• Advanced NRP certification.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitor (FHM) certification.
• AWHONN Maternal Fetal Triage Index (MFTI) certification.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider: BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Maintain all health requirements designated by Kern Medical Center.
• Possess and maintain specific certificates of competency as required by the assignment.
• Knowledge of advanced nursing theories, techniques, and practices.
• Medical terminology, instruments, and equipment.
• Uses and effects of medicines and narcotics.

Qualifications

Employees must maintain all health requirements designated by Kern Medical Center. Depending on assignment incumbents may be required to possess and maintain specific certificates of competency as a condition of employment.
