Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $3,307 per week

About the role

Aptiva Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment starting August 15, 2026 in Glendale, California.

Responsibilities

• Work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour, night shift schedule
• Manage 10 labor and delivery beds, including 2 operating rooms, 2 triage beds, 18 postpartum beds
• Provide care under 1:1, 1:2, and 1:4 ratios depending on patient needs
• Utilize OBx fetal monitoring system and Cerner electronic medical record
• Work 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week period
• Receive 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• Participate in 3 shifts of floor-specific orientation
• Treat patients with conditions such as preterm deliveries, high-risk pregnancies, hypertension, and potential cardiac abnormalities

Requirements

• At least 2 years of prior experience in labor and delivery, with preference for travel experience
• Experience with 130-150 births per month
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, Advanced-AWHONN
• Familiarity with FHM System (Obix fetal monitoring), Cerner EMR, and scrub, recovery, and circulating roles in labor and delivery
• No floating between units, except for neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) background for feeder/grower cases and L&D to postpartum cases

Qualifications

• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and Advanced-AWHONN certifications
• Experience with Cerner EMR and FHM System (OBx fetal monitoring)
• Knowledge of common diagnoses and patient types in labor and delivery
