Qualifications & experience

• Minimum 2 years of high risk labor and delivery care experience
• High risk obstetrical bedside training required
• Circulating in C-section in the labor and delivery area required
• Recovering high acuity patients required
• Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certificate required

Unit specifics

• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios (ESTIMATED): 2:1 and 3:1 OBED triage
• Unit staffing description: High risk obstetrical unit, labor and delivery
• Type of equipment: GE fetal monitors
• Documentation system: Meditech, CPNS
• Floating policy: As needed
• Weekend and call requirements: Discuss during interview

• Vaginal deliveries
• C-sections
• D&C
• Post delivery recovery care

Dress code

• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy, no artificial nails, gel, next gen, etc.
• Hair: Neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed; hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
• Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible; body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears is prohibited (includes nose rings, tongue rings, etc.)
