Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,905 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery position in Thousand Oaks, California at Los Robles Hospital (Main Campus, L&D unit). Start date 10/19/2026, 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel. CA license and resume required. The unit comprises 9 LDRs plus 4 beds for triage/outpatient testing, staffed by 43 nurses with a mix of day and night shift personnel, patient ratios of 1:1‑1:3, using hospital beds, GE Novii and wired fetal monitors, OR equipment, and CPN/Meditech EMR.

Responsibilities

• Perform vaginal exams and circulate C‑sections.
• Provide care for laboring patients (including cesarean and vaginal delivery and recovery).
• Manage high‑risk antepartum patients (gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes).
• Respond to obstetrical emergencies, including obstetric hemorrhage.
• Provide newborn care within the first hour of life (breastfeeding support, initial latch).
• Conduct outpatient testing (NST, CST, BPP) and OB triage/OBED/MSE.
• Assist with versions, cervical cerclage, and OP injections.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and critical thinking.

Requirements

• Active California RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Resume submission required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of fetal monitoring experience.
• Experience as a C‑section circulator and in post‑cesarean recovery.
• Proficient in vaginal examinations.
• Ability to care for laboring patients and high‑risk antepartum patients.
• Strong customer service and critical thinking skills.
