About the role

This Labor and Delivery (L&D) clinical nurse position is based in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The role involves providing competent nursing care in a hospital setting, focusing on patients within the labor and delivery department. The selected candidate will coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring safe and effective outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to labor and delivery patients
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Circulate for C-sections
• Triage for OB
• Perform point of care testing

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• At least 1 year of nursing experience
• 5 years labor and delivery experience highly preferred
• Epic experience required

Schedule

• Nights shift, 12 hours per shift
• 48 hours per week (minimum)
• 13-week assignment
• Will review block schedule requests and 36-hour contracts

Pay

Local rate of $71 per hour. Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
