About the role
Labor and Delivery Department nurse in a high-acuity setting within a large volume, high census facility handling high-risk obstetric cases. The role involves managing postpartum care and delivering specialized obstetric services to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity postpartum care
- Administer magnesium sulfate therapy
- Manage Pitocin administration
- Perform Foley catheter management
- Handle postpartum hemorrhage management
- Assist with vaginal deliveries
- Manage up to four patient couplets
- Handle census surges and potential float assignments between nearby facilities
Requirements
- Valid State License with a compact license in hand at submission
- At least 2 years of high-risk obstetric care experience
- Experience with substance withdrawal management
- Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system
Preferred Qualifications
- EPIC electronic medical record experience
- JADA experience
Schedule
- Nights shift, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 48 hours per week
- Flexibility to work weekends
- At least 3 of 5 holidays per contract
