Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) in Vermont. This position involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods within a facility that has a 61-bed capacity. The nurse will work in a unit with seven birthing rooms and a nursery, with a focus on supporting both low and high-risk births, and adhering to established staffing guidelines.
Job Details
- Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Certifications Required
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Required Qualifications
- Certifications as listed
- At least 2 years of experience
- Licence to practice
- Proficiency in charting using Cerner system
Facility Details
- This is not a trauma facility
- Unit setup includes 7 birthing rooms plus nursery
- Licensed for 11 bassinets and 9 maternity beds; overflow rooms available
- Level One Nursery, with transfer of higher-risk births to tertiary centers
- The unit predominantly handles low to moderate risk births
- No requirement for scrubbing or circulating on C-sections (scrubbing to receive neonatal from sterile field only)
Additional Information
- Covid vaccine and booster are required with no exemptions
- No local travelers allowed
- The unit adheres to AWHONN staffing guidelines for RN-to-patient ratios

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
