About the role
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) department nurse position is located at the healthcare provider's facility. This role involves caring for high-risk obstetric patients, managing postpartum and gynecological care, and performing procedures related to delivery. The nurse will also support neonatal units and participate in work across multiple departments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Care for high-risk obstetric patients
- Manage postpartum and gynecological care
- Perform procedures related to delivery
- Support neonatal units, including floating to Neonatal Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Assist with high-risk patients, postpartum mother and baby care, and gynecology surgical post-operative care
- Operate fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, vital signs monitors, OBIX documentation, and EPIC system
Requirements
- Valid CPR/BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Gynecology
- Valid nursing licensure
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts with some day shifts
- 36 hours minimum per week
