Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,578 per week

About the Opportunity

We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join a highly respected Women's Health team in Richmond, VA. In this role, you'll provide exceptional care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum experience while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and newborns.
• Perform ongoing maternal and fetal assessments and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families throughout the childbirth experience.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia providers, neonatal teams, and ancillary staff.
• Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, inductions, and obstetric emergencies.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Additional maternal/newborn certifications preferred (ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, etc., if applicable)
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Schedule & Compensation

• 13-week travel contract with extension potential
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour nights shift
• Overtime: Paid after 36 hours worked
• Weekly Pay: Up to $2,578/week
  • Estimated Taxable Pay: $1,332/week
  • Tax-Free Housing Stipend: $770/week
  • Tax-Free Meals & Incidentals Stipend: $476/week
