Job Summary
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse position is located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The role involves working in a busy obstetric unit responsible for caring for mothers and newborns, including labor, postpartum, and neonatal care. The position requires maintaining clinical proficiency in neonatal resuscitation and managing a variety of obstetric and neonatal conditions within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/13/2026.
Required Qualifications
- Valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with neonatal resuscitation, NRP, and experience with labor and postpartum patients.
Float
- Potential to float to other units as a sitter if needed; float rotation may be required.
Additional Information
- Candidates must clock in and out at the designated labor and delivery beds or suites on the unit for cesarean sections, triage beds, postpartum beds, and newborn resuscitation.
- Experienced RNs will handle both labor and postpartum care, caring for mothers and babies and may work with stable newborn patients, including those requiring neonatal resuscitation, oxygen therapy, or ventilator support.
- The unit operates with in-house OB/Neonatologists 24/7, and equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and vents are available for neonatal care.
- Self-scheduling and a 1-day online orientation plus shadowing days are included.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
