About the role

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment starting September 13, 2026, at an acute care facility in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM
  • Self-scheduling available
  • Weekend requirement: every 3rd Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • No on-call or standby requirement
  • Care for patients with common diagnoses including pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, postpartum hemorrhage, newborn respiratory distress, and pregnancy-related conditions
  • Comfortable with neonatal resuscitation, labor patients, postpartum patients, couplets, and stable newborn patients
  • Titrating drips including oxytocin, insulin, and magnesium
  • Not circulating in the OR or recovering patients after general anesthesia
  • Fetal monitoring system: Fetalink with GE monitors; strips read by tele techs on another unit
  • CPAP, BiPAP, and vents on site, used primarily for newborns by separate staff
  • Nurse aides and surgical techs available on the unit
  • Potential to float to other units as a sitter if needed, in the same rotation as staff nurses
  • Scrubs provided by facility
  • Orientation includes 1 day of online training, 1 day in labor, and 1 day in postpartum
  • Charting system: Cerner
  • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Requirements

  • Current RN license in good standing
  • BLS (AHA) certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Qualifications

  • Experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
  • Comfortable with neonatal resuscitation
  • Experience with fetal monitoring systems
  • Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and vent management

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management skills
  • Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
