Job Summary
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position is located in Nebraska City, Nebraska. This role involves providing specialized care to antepartum, labor, postpartum, and newborn patients in an acute care setting. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care during nights as part of a 12-hour shift schedule, including every third weekend.
Schedule
12-hour nights, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting August 3, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Valid nursing license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from AHA
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing
- Valid drivers license at submission
- The ability to work in a 50-mile radius from the facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with antepartum, triage, labor, postpartum, and newborn care
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
Additional Information
- Passing a pass/fail exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher is required; this is an open-book exam with provided resources
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas; refusal to comply will result in termination of the contract
- The unit handles approximately 100-125 births per year
- Staff may be assigned to charge nurse duties; no floating required but helpful if able to task in Medical-Surgical areas
- This position may be canceled up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
- The clinical environment uses the EPIC charting system
- No BSN is required for submission

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
