About the Role

Travel nursing assignment in Richmond, Virginia for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts available on both days and nights.

Unit Details

Number of Beds: 24
Number of Staff: 71
Day Shift Staff: labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, educator
Night Shift Staff: labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary
Patient Ratios: labor 1:1 (most of the time), post-partum 5-6:1, nursery 5-6:1
Equipment: GE fetal monitors
EMR: Meditech, CPN
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; MIU nurses have pink badges for infant security
Weekends and On-Call: Every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule

Typical procedures performed on unit(s): vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum patients, newborn and post-partum care.

Requirements

At least 2 years of labor experience (2+ years preferred, especially in an LDRP with high birth volumes)
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
