Job Summary
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse position is located in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves providing specialized care within a high-risk obstetric unit, supporting both routine and complex deliveries, antepartum, and triage services. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma, Magnet-designated facility with a busy obstetric service line.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska Registered Nurse license (pending OK if in process and license in hand for auto-offer)
- BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- 2 years of obstetric nursing experience
- Experience with Epic charting system
Preferred Qualifications
- Charge nurse experience or willingness to train as charge nurse
- Prior experience in high-risk obstetric units
- Charge experience preferred
Additional Information
- Candidates must have at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible.
- RTO (Request for Time Off) considered on an individual basis; all RTO requests should be included in the application.
- Applicants should be willing to work two major holidays if scheduled.
- Travelers may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals within scope of practice.
- Orientation is approximately 35 hours.
- Open to first-time travelers.
- Pending license accepted but must be in hand for auto-offer.
- Evidence of immunizations (Hep B vaccines only accepted) and references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) are required prior to start.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
