Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,299 per week

About the role

MediPro is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Torrance, California. This is an 8-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal heart rate patterns
• Administer medications and manage complicated labor and deliveries
• Provide routine nursing interventions
• Perform triage assessments and respond to obstetric urgent, emergent, and scheduled C-sections
• Provide post-op recovery care, breastfeeding support, and neonatal resuscitation
• Support pain management strategies, including epidural care
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
• Ensure safe transitions to postpartum or newborn care
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to women at various stages of pregnancy and labor in the Labor and Delivery unit

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of recent L&D nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population
• Active California RN license
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring Cert, NIHSS, MAB or CPI, LA Fire Card
