About the Role

Travel Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a healthcare facility in Owosso, Michigan. The role involves providing high-quality care during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. The RN will navigate complex obstetric situations, demonstrating proficiency in labor, triage, delivery, and postpartum protocols to support maternal and neonatal health.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
  • Navigate complex obstetric situations
  • Follow labor, triage, delivery, and postpartum protocols
  • Circulate during C-Sections
  • Adhere to facility dress code (provided scrubs)

Requirements

  • Valid Michigan (MI) RN license (active in Nursys or LARA)
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification
  • 2+ years of OB/GYN experience in Labor and Delivery
  • Proficiency in Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care, including labor, triage, delivery, circulating, C-Sections, newborn care, and postpartum care
  • Stable employment history
  • COVID vaccination preferred (exemptions allowed)
  • Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor
  • Own vehicle required
  • Work history and skills checklist current within the past year
  • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Schedule

  • Night shifts, 12-hour shifts
  • Minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Duration: 14 weeks (starting 08/31/2026)
  • No scheduled call responsibilities, but call-back, holiday, and overtime multipliers apply
  • No more than five days of requested time off (RTO) accepted; all RTO requests must be included in profile at submission
