Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,250 per week

Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in the department specializing in obstetrical care. This role involves providing comprehensive care for laboring and postpartum patients, supporting delivery processes, and ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and newborns. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with floating and call responsibilities, maintaining high standards of patient care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days, 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., every other weekend, floating and call required, with 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
• Two or more years of experience in labor and delivery
• At least two completed travel assignments in labor and delivery
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
• Able to pass an electrocardiogram (EKG)
• Proficiency with Cerner and CPN (GE) electronic medical records
• Certified in neonatal care

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cerner and CPN (GE)
• Certified Perinatal Nurse (CPN)

Additional Information

• Monitor and assist laboring patients
• Communicate with healthcare providers
• Circulate in operating rooms for cesarean sections
• Support newborn resuscitation
• Recover from vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Provide antepartum care in Labor and Delivery
• Work with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 as per AWHONN Staffing Standards
• Scrub color is navy blue
• EMR system used includes Cerner and CPN (GE)
• No maximum remaining time off is set as long as weekend call requirements are met

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
