About the role
Postpartum Floor Registered Nurse (RN) in Denver, Colorado. This position involves providing high-quality postpartum care in a busy hospital unit. The role requires managing patient care, educating new parents, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
- Night shift, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs
- Administer medication
- Provide perineal care
- Educate parents on newborn safety and bonding
The unit utilizes the Meditech electronic medical record system and CPN computer system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital postpartum/mother/baby experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Mother/Baby Unit
- Flexibility with schedules
- Ability to adapt quickly to new situations
Additional Information
The unit has approximately 23 beds with about 80 staff members, including registered nurses, CNAs, and charge nurses.
