About the role
Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care in a Level III Trauma Center with a Level III NICU, supporting a busy IR department that handles both general and neuro interventions. The assignment offers a collaborative environment with a focus on patient-centered care within a high-acuity facility.
Schedule
- Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Normal hours: 0700–1530 for general IR; 0730–1600 for neuro IR
- On-call rotation includes weekday and weekend shifts, with a 30-minute response time
- Travelers will only take neuro call if they have neuro IR experience; otherwise, general IR call
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in interventional radiology procedures
- Support both general and neuro interventional radiology cases
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity, Level III Trauma Center
Requirements
- Valid Wisconsin RN license or ability to obtain
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Zero to one year of experience in Interventional Radiology
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
- Familiarity with Siemens and GE imaging equipment
- Knowledge of MedRad injectors
Support & Orientation
- 1–2 weeks of orientation with a preceptor and check-off process
- Support staff includes receptionists, lead technicians, tech specialists, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and 24/7 CNA/transporter staff
