Travel Nurse RN - Interventional Radiology - $2,995 per week

Job Description

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Interventional Radiology for a 13-week assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. The position will involve performing specialized nursing care in the Interventional Radiology lab, including pre-procedure assessments, intra-procedure monitoring, sedation administration, and post-procedure recovery management.

Requirements

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) certification
• PALS or ENPC certifications preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• RCIS/RCES certification preferred

Qualifications

• Preparation for IR procedures
• Education of patients and families
• Administration and monitoring of moderate sedation
• Maintenance of accurate documentation
• Collaboration with IR technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare team members

Essential Work Functions

• Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments
• Administer and monitor sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Maintain hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and oxygenation levels during procedures
• Aid physicians during procedures, ensuring proper positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling
• Recognize and respond to complications, escalating care when necessary
• Provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery care, including pain management and patient discharge education
