Travel Nurse RN - Interventional Radiology - $2,989 per week

About the Role

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while working in a dynamic IR lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing medical history and lab results
• Educate patients and families about IR procedures, sedation, and post-procedure care
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and oxygenation levels during procedures
• Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring proper positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling
• Recognize and respond to complications, escalating care when necessary
• Provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery care, including pain management and patient discharge education
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, medications, and procedural details
• Collaborate with IR technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Requirements

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS or ENPC certifications
• ACLS certification
• RCIS/RCES certification
• Other certifications or licenses as required for the position

• Language & Technical Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; proficiency in PC skills
• Physical Abilities: Must be able to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel to maintain a positive attitude and professionalism
• Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures using department equipment
• Mental Requirements: Ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and manage irregular activity schedules
• Sensory: Must possess visual acuity and effective communication abilities

Pay

Highly competitive pay for travel professionals. Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
