Requirements

• Active RN License
• Accredited nursing program degree
• BLS Certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Interventional Radiology setting

Duties

• Provides critical nursing care to the cardiac patient
• Aids the Interventional Radiologist, Vascular Surgeon, and Endovascular Neurosurgeon in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Prepares patients for procedures
• Administers medication including moderate sedation
• Maintains patient patterns and vital signs during procedures
• Ensures patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
• Monitors post-procedure patient needs
