About the role
Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized patient care for procedures requiring invasive radiology techniques, including conscious sedation and vital sign monitoring during invasive procedures. The position is ideal for a confident RN experienced in interventional radiology, ICU, or Emergency Department settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized patient care for interventional radiology procedures
- Perform conscious sedation under radiologist supervision
- Monitor vital signs during invasive procedures
- Work closely with technologists and other nursing staff
- Float rotation may be required
The unit is equipped with Siemens Artis Z, Siemens Artis Q, and Philips EPIQ ultrasound machines. The patient population includes individuals requiring invasive radiology procedures.
Requirements
- Valid RN license
- ACLS certification
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in relevant settings (interventional radiology, ICU, or Emergency Department)
- Location eligibility for Lafayette, Indiana
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in interventional radiology or catheterization lab settings
- Background in Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
The first day of work will be at the north entrance, with orientation and CBT computer-based training to be completed prior to clinical duties.
Schedule
- Days shift, 8 hours per shift
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
