About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Interventional Radiology for a travel nursing job in Jackson, Mississippi.
Responsibilities
- Provides critical nursing care to the cardiac patient while assisting the Interventional Radiologist, Vascular Surgeon, and Endovascular Neurosurgeon in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Prepares patients for procedures.
- Provides education to the patient and family members.
- Inserts and removes intravenous lines.
- Administers medication including moderate sedation.
- Maintains patient patterns and vital signs during procedures.
- Oversight of the safety and comfort of the patient before, during, and after procedures.
- Provides post-procedure monitoring.
Requirements
- Active RN License.
- Degree from accredited nursing program.
- BLS Certification.
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Interventional Radiology setting.
