Patient care details: nurse‑to‑patient ratio 1:4; average daily census up to 24 patients; 24 rooms/beds. The unit serves a sub‑specialized intermediate population that includes neurological and medical intermediate patients. Float requirement: may be assigned to other intermediate areas (6A, 5A PCTU, 5C Cardiac Intermediate) or critical care (ICU/Stepdown). Call requirement: none. Weekend requirement: minimum of three weekend shifts every six weeks.
