Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,376 per week

About the role

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. The position offers 12-hour variable day/night shifts, 36 hours per week, and every other weekend and holiday. The role involves managing a 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with a heavy telemetry focus, handling conditions such as stable/weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke. The patient ratio is 4:1, and the primary patients involve insulin drips. The role requires scrub colors, a minimum of 2+ years of experience, at least 1 prior travel experience, EPIC charting experience, and required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Manage a 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with a heavy telemetry focus
• Handle conditions such as stable/weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
• Work in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on quality care and adaptability
• Float requirements include all inpatient units, typically to higher acuity units
• Provide care in 4-hour increments, typically in hour increments
• Support patients with primary conditions and insulin drips
• Manage ventilator and trach patients
• Work in a trauma level II facility
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements

• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Scrub colors: any color
• Able to manage independently and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Must be a hard worker, resilient, and able to manage independently
• Experience in stepdown, intermediate, or PCU preferred
• Experience in ICU preferred
• Experience with trauma level II preferred
• Experience with ventilator and trach management required
• Experience with low census and hour increments preferred

Pay

Estimated gross weekly pay: $2376. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

12-hour variable day/night shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday required.
