Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $2,290 per week

Job Summary

A Registered Nurse will provide inpatient care in an observation unit, supporting a fast-paced environment with a typical average length of stay up to 48 hours. The role includes monitoring patients, completing required charting in Electronic Medical Records (EPIC), and ensuring timely collaboration with the care team.

Required Qualifications

• WI Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA))
• Associate Degree or Certificate
• EPIC charting experience
• ability to read and interpret strips
• minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• 1 travel assignment required

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in observation units, or step-down Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) units

Responsibilities

• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• chart using EPIC
• take an EKG exam during compliance
• support patient care needs for conditions including anemia, cellulitis, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), dehydration, pre-op care, urology and Gastrointestinal (GI) needs, and administer common drips (including, but not limited to, Cardiac diltiazem, nitroglycerin, insulin, and heparin)

Weekend/Holiday Requirements

• Every other weekend and every other holiday

Additional Information

• Contract may be eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; low census may occur in hour increments (such as 4 or 8 hours of the scheduled shift) and is not considered on-call
• During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times. Compliance is mandatory.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
