This role involves providing patient-centered care within a Cancer Center setting, including chemotherapy administration, patient education, care planning, symptom management, and outpatient service coordination. The position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality oncology care in accordance with ANA and Oncology Nursing Society standards. Job Details Position Description: Outpatient chemotherapy infusion experience is required. The Cancer Center RN provides patient-centered care in the Cancer Center that includes but is not limited to chemotherapy administration, patient education, care planning, symptom management, and coordination of outpatient services. The Cancer Center RN works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team in providing high-quality care to address the many complex care issues of Cancer Center patients and their caregivers. Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; BSN preferred. One (1) to two (2) years of experience in ambulatory oncology required. Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse (RN) required. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) chemo/immunotherapy certificate is required after 2 years of hire or after reaching 2,000 hours of oncology nursing practice. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to practice independently and as a team member required. Knowledge of basic computer skills required. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality required. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, peers, physicians, and family members required. Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week. Additional Information: The position reports to the Clinical Nursing Manager, Cancer Center and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Float: Float rotation may be required.
