Travel Nurse RN - Infusion - $2,240 per week

Job Summary

The Baltimore-based healthcare organization is seeking an Ambulatory Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) for a position at a comprehensive cancer center. The role involves providing patient-focused care in a fast-paced infusion center environment, with responsibilities including administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biologic therapies, as well as monitoring patients throughout treatment. Experienced nurses with oncology infusion background and proficiency in IV insertions are encouraged to apply.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Two years RN experience
• BLS certification
• Chemo/bio/immunotherapy provider card
• Oncology infusion experience
• Proficiency in peripheral intravenous insertion and blood drawing skills
• Accessing and maintaining central lines
• Absorption skills
• Ability to provide ongoing patient education, with a focus on fast-paced infusion center care

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic experience
• ACLS certification
• Previous travel experience
• Emergency room experience
• Previous employment within the Johns Hopkins system (must have been gone for at least one year if previously employed)

Additional Information

• Candidates should have a valid ONS/OCC chemo card (obtained through online courses)
• Must be highly proficient in IV insertions
• Familiarity with Beacon system is a plus
• Experience with emergency situations and rapid patient intervention is essential

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
