Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $3,211 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for ICU - Intensive Care Unit in Tacoma, Washington. Start date 12/14/2026, duration 13 weeks, 48 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Employment type: Travel. Unit: Nurse Float Pool ICU. EPIC required. Must have neuro and trauma experience and pass DYS test prior to start. Primary work in ED hold area.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICU care for patients with neuro, trauma, medical, surgical, sepsis, pneumonia, DKA, DTs, multi‑system failure, spinal injuries, pre/post cath (radial approach), general surgery, respiratory compromise, CHF, COPD, GSW, stabbings, MVA, strokes, TBI, various back surgeries.
• Manage cardiac rhythm interpretation, ventilator and BiPAP, invasive lines, ostomy, general drains, tracheostomy, chest tubes, lumbar drains, IV medication titration.
• Float to Neuro/Trauma/Medical/Cardiac ICU, CCU, PCU/ACC, ED Holding, MedSurg units, open surge areas; possible float to sister hospital 2.5 miles away.

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience; first‑time travelers accepted with strong ICU and prior float pool experience.
• Must pass DYS test before start.
• EPIC proficiency required.
