Requirements

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Neuro and trauma experience required
• EPIC proficiency required
• Must pass DYS test prior to start
• Clinical interviews required
• First‑time travelers accepted if they have strong ICU and float‑pool experience

Qualifications & Skills

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Ventilator and BiPAP management
• Invasive line management
• Ostomy care
• Management of general drains, tracheostomies, chest tubes, and lumbar drains
• IV medication titration
• Ability to work in a float pool covering Neuro, Trauma, Medical, Cardiac ICU, CCU, PCU/ACC, ED Holding, Med‑Surg units, and open surge areas

Patient Types

• COVID‑19 patients
• Neuro and trauma cases
• Medical and surgical patients
• Sepsis, pneumonia, DKA, diabetic emergencies
• Multi‑system failure, spinal injuries
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization (radial approach)
• General surgery, respiratory compromise, CHF, COPD
• Gunshot wounds, stabbings, motor vehicle accidents
• Strokes, traumatic brain injury, various back surgeries

Floating Assignments

• Neuro ICU
• Trauma ICU
• Medical ICU
• Cardiac ICU
• CCU
• PCU/ACC
• ED Holding
• Med‑Surg units
• Open surge areas for the above units
• Potential float to Allenmore Hospital (approximately 2.5 mi away)
