Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $3,094 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Rapid City, South Dakota. This is a 14-week travel nursing assignment with 48 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

Experience & certification requirements

• 2 years of experience required (excluding travel experience)
• Minimum 1 prior travel assignment
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC (must be willing to obtain prior to arrival)
• Charting system: Epic (required for ICU)

Patient population & unit details

• Complex ICU patients including surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro, and trauma
• Diagnoses include but are not limited to: ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-cardiac cath, post-surgical, multiple system trauma
• Heavy trauma population
• Cardiac experience preferred (not required): CABG/TAVR – 24–48 hours post-op experience preferred but not required
• Facility will not assign fresh open hearts to travelers unless experienced; those cases are given to permanent staff

Floating

Floating is not common unless overstaffed. If floated, travelers may go to any adult floor including Medsurg/Tele with a 1:4 ratio. Confirm traveler comfortability during interview.
