Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $3,014 per week
About the role
Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Responsibilities
- Beds: 39 MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU mixed unit- All one ICU divided into pods
- Would not float into CVICU side unless experienced in that unit/specialty
- Minimal Experience: 2 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel experience is most preferred
- If they have 1.5 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel and have significant RN experience outside of ICU, please have CRT send to management team for approval
- Will not accept a first-time traveler
- Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility
- Permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Patient Types: Complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro and trauma
- Diagnoses include but are not limited to: ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, multiple system trauma heavy trauma population
- Clinical experience in Cardiac is preferred (not required): CABG/TAVR 24 to 48 hrs post op experience is preferred but not required for travelers
- Will not take fresh open hearts unless they are experienced, and the facility felt comfortable with this given to permanent staff
- Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (rare) acuity dependent
- Required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS TNCC
