Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,502 per week

About the role

We're looking for Intensive Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Saint Paul, MN. The right nurse should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and monitoring patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
• Providing the most direct care to patients in life‑threatening situations, documenting and providing physician‑directed care.
• Assessing and implementing patient care plans, and delegating to other care providers as appropriate.
• Providing education and support to patient families, possibly for long‑term care needs.
• Providing basic bedside care.
• Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests.
• Taking samples for lab work, ordering corresponding lab work and interpreting reports.
• Monitoring and adjusting specialized equipment, and interpreting and recording electronic displays.
• Ensuring proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads and tubing.
• Communicating patients' conditions to family members.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Schedule

• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• Hours per week: 36 hours
• Duration: 20 weeks
