About the role
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse, located in the ICU specialty, is responsible for delivering high-quality care to adult cardiac, telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patients. This role involves self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance, passing a basic dysrhythmia test, and providing assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in coordination with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality patient care to adult cardiac, telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patients
- Performing assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in coordination with the healthcare team
- Interacting effectively with patients and team members
- Maintaining professional nursing standards
- Self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance and passing a basic dysrhythmia test in the first week of assignment (required to work in ICU-CCU units)
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- License/certificate verification required
- Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience within the last 12 months in a similar unit required
- No minimum years of experience required
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, estimated 36 hours per week, with potential overtime
- Every other weekend rotation and every other holiday required
- May be placed on call during periods of low census; must be able to respond and arrive within one hour if called

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
