About the Unit

• Number of Beds: 6
• Patient Ratios: Varies on acuity; adult patients only
• Unit staffing: Charge Nurse, RNs, Nurse Externs, Paramedics
• Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Hill-Rom beds and call light system, GE cardiac monitoring equipment
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week scheduling period
• Floating policy: Float to like units (ICU/PCU/CCU); agency staff first to float when needed
• Patient Experience requirements: Uphold mission and values; treat every patient with courtesy and respect; adhere to bedside shift report requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide ICU-level care, including hemodynamic monitoring and drip titration
• Perform procedures such as debridement, dressing changes, line insertion, chest tube insertions and maintenance, and post-op procedural care
• Care for mixed acuity patients (ICU/PCU/Tele/Med-Surg) from admit to discharge

Requirements

• ICU background (burn experience preferred)
• BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (required)
• Cardiac rhythm proficiency
• Preferred certifications/training: NIH Certified, CRRT Training, ABLS certification, hemodynamic training
