This role involves providing specialized care to adult patients with critical conditions such as trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress. The nurse will work on night shifts and be responsible for managing complex patient needs in a high-acuity environment. Job Details: Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications; 2 years of recent ICU experience; current drivers license; willingness to work night shifts and weekends. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilator management and titrating drips such as cardiac, insulin, and sedation. Float: Typically may float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical-Surgical units, typically maintaining patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5. Additional Information: Responsible for monitoring and interpreting GE brand monitors and strips. May assist with troubleshooting respiratory equipment such as nasal cannulas, vents, Cpap, BiPAP, and high-flow devices. RTO (Request Time Off) must be submitted upfront for 7 or fewer days; no additional RTO will be approved during the contract. Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts within a 13-week contract. Orientation includes one unit-specific shift. Must have a valid license to submit and active certifications prior to start. This position involves working in an acute care setting with a 33-bed ICU, an average daily census of 16, and diverse critical care cases.
