About the role
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is available in a healthcare facility within Zone 3, based around the Denver City Center area. This role involves providing specialized critical care to high-acuity patients, with the ability to float across various units including ICU, PCU, Step-down, and Medical-Surgical Telemetry.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized critical care to high-acuity patients
- Float across ICU, PCU, Step-down, and Medical-Surgical Telemetry units as required
- Assist with ventilators, Cpap, Bipap, high-flow oxygen, and troubleshooting telemonitors
- Use EPIC charting system
Requirements
- Registered nurse license
- 2 years of ICU experience; for first-time travelers, a minimum of 3+ years ICU experience required
- ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- NIHSS certification
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must be at least 60 miles from all listed facilities
- Available to work 6-9 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
- May be asked to participate in holiday rotations
- Must submit a two-week notice to avoid back-out penalties
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- Minimum 36 hours per week
- Shifts may be canceled up to 4 times in a 13-week assignment
