Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,160 per week

Job Summary

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Idaho Falls, Idaho, providing care in a 29-bed general Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a level 2 trauma center. The unit features advanced equipment and supports a variety of complex procedures, offering an engaging environment for experienced critical care professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing in a 29-bed general ICU
• Care for patients in a level 2 trauma center setting
• Support complex procedures including intubations, central line placement, bronchs, bedside tracheostomy, and PEG tube placement
• Participate in float rotation as required (travelers float first to Emergency Department and step down units)
• Work every other weekend
• Take on-call shifts during census drops
• Collaborate with unit staff (no CNAs, one telemetry technician)
• Utilize extensive equipment including Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV 1000 and CCO, primaflex CRRT, and cardiohelp ECMO

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC certification
• NIHSS certification
• ABLS certification

Unit Details

• Unit supports a heart program with approximately 200 cases annually
• Burn center opened April 2019
• Average ICU staff experience: 12 years

Schedule

• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• On-call during census drops
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: 09/14/2026
