Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,160 per week

About the role

The organization is seeking a qualified ICU Medical (Intensive Care Unit Medical) nurse for a 12-hour day shift position. The role involves providing critical care to patients with diagnoses such as Sepsis, ARDS, Pneumonia, AKI, ETOH withdrawal, and Overdose within a hospital ICU setting.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting EKG strips
• Managing arterial lines and central lines
• Caring for ventilated patients
• Titrating vasoactive and cardioactive drips
• Reading telemetry strips
• Troubleshooting equipment
• Floating to lower care levels as required

Requirements

• Active Illinois license or confirmation of application initiation
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
• Must produce a negative drug screen as part of facility compliance
• Last four digits of SSN and confirmation of ongoing licensure application

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Minimum 36 hours per week

Orientation and Training

• Comprehensive orientation including Epic system training
• Shadowing and preceptor support totaling 24 hours

Operational Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients
• Additional support from nurse aides/patient care techs
• Hospitalist or intensivist staffing 24/7
• Telemetry monitoring available
