About the role

Travel nursing assignment in Phoenix, Arizona for an ICU - Intensive Care Unit RN. Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts. This is a travel position.

  • Candidates cannot work another assignment/contract while working for Dignity AZ (no concurrent contracts).
  • Must have been gone from CommonSpirit as permanent staff for 12 months to be considered for this travel assignment.
  • No facial piercings and only natural hair colors permitted.
  • Onboarding documents due by 1 PM CST Wednesday before start; the facility will not allow anything pending and will push back the traveler if the file is incomplete by the deadline.
  • Level I trauma experience required.
  • Previous travel experience required for ED and Neuro ICU.
  • Cerner EMR experience required for ED.
  • Travel teams must have their own vehicles; Cath Lab will not consider tech/RN teams.
  • Parking: assigned to a parking lot and then shuttled to the facility; night shift assigned to a parking garage.
  • Travelers may be expected to work with nursing students (teaching hospital).
  • Facility will not consider any contract shorter than 13 weeks.
  • Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance (maximum 2 attempts). Required for: Ambulance Transport, Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, CVICU, EP Lab, ER, Helicopter Transport (Flight), House Supervisor, PACU/Recovery, PCU, PICU, Pre-op/PACU, Stepdown, Telemetry/IMC, Transitional ICU/TCU units. If failed, will be Do Not Use (DNU) for 6 months within CommonSpirit AZ and Sacramento Region.
  • Day 1 Pass/Fail Exam required (see unique notes for details).
  • All profiles must include: unit size, hospital size, trauma level, and EMR (Cerner experience).
  • 2 years of core experience required in the specialty being submitted; Level 1 Trauma and teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care in the ICU setting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital environment.
  • Mentor nursing students as part of the teaching hospital responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Active RN license.
  • 2 years of core ICU experience.
  • Level 1 Trauma experience.
  • Teaching hospital experience.
  • Cerner EMR experience (required for ED travel teams).
  • Previous travel nursing experience (required for ED and Neuro ICU).
  • Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam completed with passing score (2 attempts maximum).
  • Day 1 Pass/Fail Exam (details provided in unique notes).

Estimated pay package based on bill rate at time of posting. Bill rates can change frequently and without notice. Exact pay package may vary based on guaranteed hours, distance traveled, and customizations available for travelers. Pay is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
